The Maxxis race at Carnesville was rained out today....It would have been the first time Devin raced without me at the track in 7 years.....I hoped it would rain it out....It did. Daddy came thru and drove the van and trailer....I stayed home with Jennifer....She is doing well after back surgery Monday, but still needs some help getting up out of bed.

Stocklite win at Dawgwood....3-16-08
Had the wrong front gear on up until right before Mid round practice....Tried about everything on the tires but figured out what worked by the Stocklite feature.....Turned a 11.81 FT and that was with 3 race old Maxxis....The other 4 karts had on RS Firestones.....The 99 kart that Devin passed for the lead had sticker Stones....I don't know what they had in them we have never had a set of Stones.....Griffin says they are atleast 2 tenths faster than Maxxis....That 2 tenths would have put us alot closer to the front runners in med. Hit the tires coming off 4 in med was running pretty good but not a threat for a win.....Got some great advice from Griffin and made a change or two for lite and it paid off....Devin should have The Rebel Fabricators Ultimate bead breaker video done this week....I'll post a page here on our blog to the info about it...It's really the best I have ever seen.
Below is the raw footage...I'll make a shorter version and post it as the main video when I have time, but I'll keep a link to this one in the same post.

How we purge our animal motor.....
Step by step....
1. Drain the bowl and disconnect the fuel line from the tank.
2. Take the sparkplug out and turn the motor over until all the alky is out of the fuel lines.
3. Run the fuel line U just took off the tank and put it in the gallon of premixed gas and Marvel Mystery Oil, with the sparkplug still out turn the motor over again until the mixture reaches the carb.
4. Put the sparkplug back in and crank the motor.....Let it run for about 30 seconds or until it starts to smoke.
5. Drain the gas from the carb and fuel lines, then take the sparkplug back out and squirt some of the oil U run in the motor down the hole.....Turn the motor over a few times and put the plug back in....Turn the motor over by hand till it's on the compression stroke....Your done. Don't forget to put the drainplug back in the bowl of the carb.
It works for us and should for Ya'll as well.
PS.....Always turn your animal over by hand until it's on compression stroke every time U run it....It's best if the valves stay in the closed position unless it's running.

Well....There is a first time for everything.
Today we were snowed-out at the track....We have had plenty of rainouts over the years but this was the first time the water came down as snow....Funny part is at we are 3 for 4 at this track with wash-outs. Maybe we will get to run at Peachstate atleast one of the 3 remaining Ga State Maxxis series races before the year is over.

Don't forget the sides.....
It looks like it's gonna be a cold one....Highs only in the 40's....We will need the sides to the EZ-up so we can try to stay warm.
It may be muddy so we need to pick up a bail of hay.
Get some offset keyways at the track if anybody has any.

We had a real good day.....
Spent the day over at Mark's new shop and found some more HP in the Animal....We made a ton of pulls on two different motors....Backed some stuff up we have already learned and have more stuff to try, just ran out of time....We should be good to go on HP at the next Maxxis Ga State race on Mar. 8th at Peachstate.
